ABSTRACT

Agri-transfer is a 2-year technology transfer project supported by the UK Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) Flexible Interchange Programme and two UK charities: the Malaysian Centre for Commonwealth Studies (MCSC) and the Cambridge Malaysian Education and Development Trust (CMEDT). It involves National Institute of Agricultural Botany (NIAB), KALRO, MCSC and CMEDT staff working with the extension officers in Narok and Nakuru counties. Varieties released in 2012 (Tae, Sunbird, Wren, Korongo, Kingbird, Hawk 12) were completely missing from farmers’ fields (CIMMYT, 2016a).
