ABSTRACT

In the introduction the editors present and interconnect the key concepts addressed in the volume – climate inaction due to the influence of climate change denial, the role of the influence of interest groups, and the communication strategies and discourses fueled by lobbies and think tanks. The introduction also reviews the literature and previous work that has inspired the volume and the book’s expanded climate change denial approach, including the need to focus on communication. The editors also introduce the different parts, chapters, and authors of the volume, highlight the complexities of the topics, and explain what the main goal of the volume is and how the chapters connect with each other to attain this goal. Finally, they also describe how the volume connects communication theory with practice.
