ABSTRACT
This chapter reviews the definition of a competence and gives examples of different tools professionals use. The concept of KISA, an acronym for Knowledge, Insights, Skills, and Attitudes, is explained. References to where readers can find elements of these mental tools, or KISA, throughout the book are mentioned.
