ABSTRACT

This chapter aims to ensure that a major project with few external influences and relationships is handled by a strong, single-project-minded team leader. The intention stage is broken down into evaluating the methods available and deciding on the preferred route of action. The final commitment stage divides into the timing associated with putting the plan into action, the anticipation of possible outcomes and the development of contingency plans for each potential outcome. Having defined each individual’s decision-making process and inclination towards sharing or private interaction, the next step is to assess their ability to adapt to situations and to identify with other people’s points of view. The major benefit is that each individual in the team understands where he or she needs help in order to ensure that each problem is completely addressed from every angle. This is where the real change has come about in Kodak.
