ABSTRACT

Taking an original approach to the question of origins, Mark Twain (1917) recognized that the drama of Adam and Eve’s mighty Fall from Grace required a suitable backdrop. He thus placed the Garden of Eden at Niagara, on the site of the present parks surrounding the Great Falls. Like Twain’s Eden, Christian creationism does not recognize the political border between Canada and the United States. Its apostles reside in both countries. Yet, like Niagara Falls, creationism looks different from Canadian and American1 vantage points.
