ABSTRACT

In this chapter we set out to answer the questions: what is feedback and what forms can it take? While the answer may seem obvious, there are many types of feedback available to Geography students at university, some more expected than others. It is natural to feel that feedback is harsh or unfair. However, if you want to do well in your Geography degree, we also discuss why, as a new Geography student, you need to engage with your feedback to work out – from your lecturers' point of view –what makes a good assessment answer.
