ABSTRACT
Tutors have other names at some universities. Sometimes they are called pastoral tutors; sometimes personal tutors or academic tutors; and at some institutions they are referred to as personal academic tutors, or PATs. Whatever the job title, we focus on why your tutor is a very important person in your experience of studying Geography at university. We also discuss the support that your university will provide for new students with neurodiversity, physical and mental health conditions and disabilities.
