ABSTRACT
Winter for me is about the Orion Nebula. In 1993, I was in middle school, in Italy, where I grew up. I still fondly remember one of my favourite projects. One day, Mrs. Angeli, our music teacher, brought in an old stereo and inserted a cassette of Vivaldi’s Quattro Stagioni (Four Seasons). She asked us to represent the music through art, colourful abstract art. The project took a few afternoons to complete and Mrs. Angeli worked in team with Mrs. Farina, the art teacher. When the project was over, we patiently waited for our teachers to inspect our work and give us feedback. Mrs. Angeli and Mrs. Farina walked to my desk with a smile. They looked at my work and asked, “Why pink and red?”
