ABSTRACT
In this chapter the author discusses Mugambi’s theology of reconstruction as “tools in anticipation of the new society that results from successful struggles for liberation” which according to Mugambi goes hand in hand with social construction. The author then argues that the theology of reconstruction offers tools for critical thinking on a new “post-liberation” Church expression. Such a theology is also practical as it helps clarify the relationship between gospel and culture particularly in the African context.
