ABSTRACT
This chapter examines the state of the art of education technology for developing social and emotional competences. Questions such as the following ones will be considered: Which SEL programs are best suited for enhancing the use of education technology? Which are the main features of these educational technologies (web, virtual life, etc.)? European and U.S. ed-tech policies are briefly addressed. The connections between ed-techs and SEL programs are explored.
