ABSTRACT

This work intends to examine critically and analytically some of the main concepts that constitute the core elements of the scientific framework characterizing climate change literature. In effect, this literature shows a conceptual background which, under an ethical and analytical perspective, is rather incomplete. The concepts of equity and vulnerability, for instance, are subject to several interpretations and this generates confusion in the ethical branch of climate change. Furthermore, within this context, many of the IPCC definitions appear vague and superficial.
