ABSTRACT
Set in Bristol, UK, Skins follows three ‘generations’ of millennial teens in their final year of college/high school and was controversial for its portrayal of young people taking drugs and having sex. While queer characters, pleasures and desires are featured in all six seasons, the presence and occasional absence of queer sex in Skins is notable. This chapter considers moments of transgression, and the presence and absence of sex, to contemplate possibilities for exploring notions of sexual citizenship and a broader range of relational possibilities.
