Although recent reviews have summarized much of the burgeoning research on humility, no review has focused on the impact of humility on well-being. In this chapter, we reviewed the published literature that explored the relationship between humility and well-being, including religious and spiritual well-being, social and relational well-being, emotional and psychological well-being, and physical well-being. Humility is positively related to numerous indicators of well-being, although most of the studies are in the area of religious and spiritual well-being and social and relational functioning. We conclude by discussing limitations and raise questions about areas for future research.
