ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the key concepts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The book presents compelling arguments for Higher education institutions to do more to counter lack of understanding and misinformation about international education that persists in the broader community. It demonstrates the enormous scope for internationalisation to contribute to the development of graduate employability. The book examines how internationalisation in its range of forms contributes to enhancing graduate employability via the acquisition of key skills, knowledge, and attributes. The employability advantages of an internationalised education span disciplines and national contexts. At an institutional level, academics and professional staff can help students to better understand and articulate how their international education experience translates into critical employability skills and attributes. The trend for international students to seek post-study employment has been driven by host nation immigration policy.
