Distribution of wildlife in relation to the water-holes in Tsavo National Park (East), Kenya

In spite of the importance of water to animals very little research has been done to evaluate its significance to the ecology of African mammals (Young, 1970). Water which is a major requirement of all animals is supplied in part from water consumed voluntarily, from water preformed in the food and water formed within the body as a result of oxidation in the tissues.
