ABSTRACT

The implication of this point of view is that the University’s Department of Forestry will also be ‘detrimental to the future of wild animals in the

Federation’, for, after all, this department is the only source of locally educated foresters in the Federation at the moment, and its graduates staff the government’s forestry departments in all twelve states as well as the two Federal Departments of Forestry. Of course, the Department also caters to the needs of a significant number of English-speaking countries throughout Africa for forestry graduates.
