ABSTRACT

Having read the chapters in this section you will see how they illustrate the way the authors garner the voices of those closely involved in different communities to make visible the complexities of working alongside families and children. The contributions can be woven together to examine challenges within very different landscapes. This may be useful as a way of critically examining similarities and differences between approaches and their implications for practice which can be a useful strategy when presenting material for assignments and class discussion. For example, as a starting point: Do the approaches offer new ideas or confirm existing practices you are familiar with? In what ways does seeing things through international perspectives make a difference to your thinking?
