ABSTRACT

The reader should understand: the complexity of environmental ethics and basic environmental problems in different media; scientific developments and basic philosophical background behind environmental approaches to comprehend how the relationship between human beings and nature is affected and changed in time. This chapter discusses the sources, impacts and importance of environmental problems in different media caused by human activities to understand the mutual relationship between humans and nature. It also discusses chaotic environmental cases. This will help environmental experts and decision-makers to understand some of the threats facing the world in the future and the implications of not being able to foresee future issues. To understand air pollution and its control, a necessary first step is to understand the composition and structure of the atmosphere. Land use can be defined as the human modification of the natural environment or wilderness into cultivated fields and pastures and built environment such as settlements.
