ABSTRACT

The Human Resources (HR) function is the key partner in embedding Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainability initiatives in any organisation, as this can be achieved only when a company educates, engages and empowers its entire workforce. This chapter proposes that the HR function has a responsibility to be proactive in leading the way in establishing a company-wide CSR-enabled culture. It provides the case study about the bussiness of a woman named as Sharon Black. HR Professional, Arena Dardelle, and Sharon had met in London, in a small place near Black-friars. They had spent some time talking about their families and general developments in the HR function, the job market, the effects of the financial crisis, recruitment problems, a particular case of sexual harassment that had been rather unpleasant for Arena in International Food Company, and the quality of clothes in fast-fashion chains.
