ABSTRACT
The book also analyses the food crisis in the world, suggesting that it is rooted in male-dominated agricultural science and development which have destroyed nature’s capital and excluded women as experts and producers of food. The violence inherent in the Green Revolution for food crops and the White Revolution for dairying, is shown as linked to shifts in the perception of food to become a commodity, produced and exchanged for profit.
