ABSTRACT
In this final chapter, the authors tell a story to bring to life some fictional aspects of mobility in The Netherlands in 2049. The Dutch setting is appropriate; as Europe’s most densely populated country, many environmental issues hit here first. In addition, the fact that a significant part of the country is below sea level creates considerable interest in the issue of rising seawater levels as a result of global warming. This epilogue presents a more imaginative context within which to place the issues described and analysed in the other chapters.
