ABSTRACT

It requires new entrepreneurial and business models to bring essential products to markets in the developing world, to introduce new technologies, to implement new work and employment systems, for new commercial approaches, and for effective partnership structures to deliver sustainable development. The modelling exercise should address which developments are related to responsible enterprise (the way companies operate) and which developments are related to the business contribution to society (what they provide), as well as strategic managerial issues, such as relations with stakeholders/shareholders, branded products, mergers, franchising, eco-fair trade and the value chain.
