ABSTRACT

South Korea, officially the Republic of Korea, is located in the southern half of the Korean Peninsula in East Asia. POSCO was the only South Korean company in the top half of the list. In 2014, POSCO also incorporated the requirements of the UN's "Protect, Respect and Remedy" Framework for Business and Human Rights into its internal regulations for domestic and global operations, the first South Korean company to do so. Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, with 122 overseas business centres in 84 countries, has shown support for the global Corporate Social Responsibility and Creating Shared Value (CSV) practices of South Korean corporations since 2012. Driven by its belief and commitment for CSV, next-generation products of Samsung Electronics have made positive impacts on society and the Earth. Samsung developed specially designed products that can withstand power outages and voltage fluctuations, such as the Triple Protection TV, Triple Protector Air Conditioner and DuraCool Refrigerator.
