ABSTRACT
I have been working in construction since I was a student. It began as an enjoyable way to make good money during my school holidays; but when school ended I did not share my classmates’ desire to keep studying, have families or continue building. Instead, I felt a strong urge to travel the world. With little money, I travelled the Himalayas. It was an existential experience that stayed with me, and still influences me every day.
