ABSTRACT

The current movement of businesses toward the achievement of the proposed priority that is designated by the UN development agenda-to eradicate extreme poverty-involves actions that integrate, in the field of corporate social responsibility (CSR), both private social investment (PSI) and philanthropy. With the closure in 2015 of the Millennium Development Goals (MDG), new proposals will be put forth on the global agenda which will integrate the new Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). This new phase of development will require greater involvement of the private sector.
