A new perspective for management education: From ignorance, mental poverty and technocratic knowledge to self-awareness and phronesis

Former President of the United States, Franklin D Roosevelt said that ‘the test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little.’ While global attempts have been made to reduce poverty and encourage responsible decision-making at the political, economic and business level, Roosevelt’s words constitute an active challenge that calls for increased attention and responsiveness.
