ABSTRACT

The mission of Sociological Abstracts (SA) remains the same today as it was at its inception in 1953: to document the world’s sociological literature, irrespective of the country of publication or language of the source document. Although SA’s coverage now includes journal articles, conference papers, dissertations, books, and book and other media reviews, between the years 1953 and 1965 coverage was limited to journal articles and books.
