ABSTRACT
Public Affairs Information Service, Inc. (PAIS), publishes bibliographic indexes with abstracts, to the literature of public and social policy. Its indexes are available in print, online, and on CD-ROM. It indexes, abstracts, and provides bibliographic access to journal articles; books; U.S. government documents on the federal, state and local level; government publications from governments outside the United States; reports; publications of international organizations; microfiche; and monographs from all over the world. It indexes publications originally published in any of six languages (English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish), although the language of the index headings and the abstracts in the data records is English.
