ABSTRACT
When the terms “science” and “religion” are juxtaposed, a third term inevitably comes to mind: conflict. We have learned to think of the relation of science and religion primarily as one of conflict. Even those who believe science and religion to be essentially in harmony recognize that they must argue against the widespread perception that they are in conflict.
