ABSTRACT
This chapter explains about the role of black political scientists in the discipline of political science and within the organization. It discusses some of the major strengths and weaknesses of National Conference of Black Political Scientists (NCOBPS). The chapter offers some observations about the structure of the organization and make some recommendations about reforming it. As NCOBPS, a predominantly black organization, is the body that supports the National Political Science Review, its members should expect that any editor of the journal would also want to see the members and their views reflected in the pages of the journal. The NPSR is a welcome, long-awaited addition to the list of NCOBPS activities. The chapter aims to make some specific comments about the structure of the organization in its present state and make some closing recommendations about issues that need to be addressed.
