ABSTRACT

This paper outlines a procedure found helpful by the author as an interview guide when counseling parents for behavior problems of their children. A modified form of the present procedure based on “The Analysis of Human Operant Behaviour” by Reese (1966) and Child Development I by Bijou and Baer (1961) was found to be readily understood by parents with secondary school education who attended a clinical group led by the author to teach parents to apply behavioral principles, generally operant in nature, to a wide range of problems the parents were experiencing with their children.
