ABSTRACT
The interview recorded in the following transcript took place as a consultation-demonstration that was viewed on closed circuit television by a group of psychiatric residents. In the one hour available, it was necessary both to reach an evaluation and make therapeutic recommendations. It was therefore not a typical first interview. Nevertheless, it followed the basic lines of behavioristic anamneses, being primarily directed at determining the stimulus conditions, external and internal, that elicit neurotic responses.
