ABSTRACT

I have four grandchildren. A boy of seventeen, and his brother of thirteen via son number one, now in his forties. A step-grandson of eight and a grand-daughter of five from son number two in his thirties. There are two sons to go, so far childless. The likelihood of the younger two having children diminishes annually, as the birth rate falls and young professional women, wives and partners are less and less inclined to have children.
