ABSTRACT

Frankly, I have only a few things to add to what Mr. Ralph Patton said. In 1944 I belonged to an escape and evasion network. At the time I was a teacher at the Carnot high school in Paris. I had female colleagues in the north of France who would bring to Paris pilots downed throughout the region. My task was to find shelters for them before their departure to Brittany. I had to take them on the Metro, have them take the train to Brittany, and then sometimes, because they would get bored, take them out for a while.
