ABSTRACT
Martin Edwin “Mick” Andersen is a reporter for Insight magazine. He has worked as a special correspondent for Newsweek and The Washington Post in Argentina; staff member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee; and senior adviser for policy planning with the criminal division of the U.S. Justice Department. He is the author of Dossier Secreto: Argentina ‘s Desaparecidos and the Myth of the “Dirty War,” and La Policia: Pasado, Presente y Propuestas para el Futuro, a history of Argentine law enforcement written in Spanish. He serves as the Latin America analyst for Freedom in the World.
