ABSTRACT
The formal Fricot organization, headed by the superintendent, includes a staff of approximately 110 persons who care for and treat an average population of slightly over 220 boys, in five living units. Under the superintendent and his assistant, on the organization chart, are four major division head Business Manager, Supervisor of Special Treatment, Supervisor of Academic Instruction, and Head Group Supervisor. The formal Fricot organization, headed by the superintendent, includes a staff of approximately 110 persons who care for and treat an average population of slightly over 220 boys, in five living units. The relationship between the social work staff headed by the Supervisor of Special Treatment and the staff of the Home Life section is imprecisely defined and has been in a state of evolution for several years. Fricot has been a leader in integrating the services of social work and psychological staff into the entire program rather than having those functions in isolated settings in individual therapy.
