ABSTRACT
Let me begin by thanking the authors of both commentaries. I welcome the new perspectives that Hammer, Garrison, and Scheckler bring to my work on Participatory Simulations, as their insights have caused me to reflect on and refine my own perspectives. I hope that my response will clarify some areas of uncertainty and open the way for future dialogue on the ways that direct experience can augment learning.
