ABSTRACT

Wayne K.Goodman is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida. In 1985, after completing his psychiatry training at Yale University School of Medicine, Dr. Goodman established the Yale Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Clinic. Dr. Goodman served as a faculty member at Yale until he relocated in 1993 to the University of Florida, where he conducts research on the neurobiology and treatment of OCD, Tourette’s Syndrome, and related disorders. He is the principal developer of the Yale-Brown Obsessive-Compulsive Scale (Y-BOCS), author of over 100 articles and chapters, and past Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board to the national ObsessiveCompulsive Foundation, Inc., of which he was co-founder.
