ABSTRACT

Even after 10 years—the amount of time I’ve spent in classrooms and writing centers—my work in one site never fails to shed light on my work in the other. This has proven true once again as I put this chapter through its final revision and, in so doing, try to address the last of the editors’ concerns, a concern that asks me to establish a more explicit link between the narrative of my work with Todd (which I will recount shortly) and my subsequent decision to choose writing centers as my area of intellectual and academic inquiry.
