ABSTRACT
Many of us who sign on to and faithfully read WCenter do so because we are alone on our campuses, the only writing center professionals. While our friends in literature can go for coffee and discuss issues of their scholarship and teaching, we have no one with whom to discuss our latest budget crisis or a recent article in The Writing Center Journal. Many of us take our coffee breaks in the office with our colleagues on WCenter. Many of these colleagues become our friends.
