ABSTRACT
How do academic advisors exert influence on their graduate students? Do they simply transmit knowledge? Or do they impose their theoretical preference on their students? Not always. In this chapter, I present my own case as an instance. More specifically, I review my past studies while showing how they were influenced by my own advisor, Professor Ulric Neisser.
