ABSTRACT
A scientific discipline is only as solid as its methods of measurement. To draw meaningful conclusions from scientific data, those data must be generated using measures that are both reliable and valid. This chapter provides a brief overview of measurement reliability and validity and how these concepts are typically assessed in sexuality research.
