In “Found in a Storm,” poet William Stafford (1977, p. 102) tells of some hikers (perhaps they were poets or researchers?):

Stafford’s hikers turn back that day, but like the other seekers in his story, they seem to do so with a vision of method, found perhaps in that storm.
