ABSTRACT

How can theory on work-life integration be made more useful for practice? As we have seen in the previous chapters of this book, theoreticians have made great strides in promoting understanding of the dynamics of work-life interfaces. The various chapters in this book cover critical areas of content such as time usage, cross-cultural differences in approaches to work-life issues, conflict between work and family, and the impact of technology on work-life issues. Each chapter spirals back and forth between theory and data contributing to our theoretical understanding of work-life issues.
