ABSTRACT

This chapter presents a case study of a Norwegian man in his mid-fifties (hereafter referred to as Aksel) who has suffered from a severe Broca-type of aphasia since 1992. Aksel's verbal production is severely limited, lexically as well as grammatically. His utterances are short and dominated by a small set of interjections and set phrases, and only a minor portion of the words he uses are content words.
