ABSTRACT
Kurt Lewin devoted his life to the interplay between theory and practice. He believed that social psychological research could uncover the basic laws and dynamics of human behavior and that those laws could be used to effect social change. For Lewin, there was no conflict between theory and application. It was not only possible but desirable and feasible to pursue the idea that social psychology could make the world a better place.
