ABSTRACT
Telemedical procedures operate on a range of telecommunication and information technology equipment together with software products, and use of the internet and/or intranet (for example, NHSnet) technologies. These procedures depend upon equipment manufactured by third parties who may or may not be in a contractual relationship with health professionals, or who may owe a duty of care to the patient under tort/delict or relevant statutory provisions.
