Jury Option 2: Creating a special pool of 'serious fraud' jurors 4.19 The alternative to screening potential jurors once they have been
summoned to attend court is to maintain a separate pool of jurors who would be summoned to attend serious fraud trials. This option involves a significant departure from the principle that jurors are randomly selected from the population local to the Crown Court in question. It also goes beyond the argument which could justify the screening options, namely that the jury needs to be able to Ideal with' the type of evidence which will be presented.
