ABSTRACT

Legal education in Tanzania is undertaken at the University of Dar-es-Salaam (which offers a four-year LLB degree programme) and the Open University of Tanzania (which offers a six-year, distance learning LLB degree programme). Holders of an approved law degree wishing to practise must obtain the Postgraduate Diploma in Law which is the accepted practising qualification by the Council of Legal Education.
