ABSTRACT
This chapter aims to describe and analyse empirically the situation of violence in partnerships. Based on this analysis, the authors hope to answer the politico-criminal question of the extent to which criminal law and mediation can be necessary and helpful, especially for women, the usual victims of violence in relationships.
